A customer came to us with a request that they needed some metrics and monitoring on their website as they’d been having some . By using our monitoring software we were able to monitor not only how the website is loading externally but the MySQL connections, IIS pool load, SSL cert expiry, and of course the usual Server health – CPU, RAM, Free disk space. Using these monitors we were able to send SMS alerts to the developer when the site was down or experiencing issues. A weekly report was also generated that provided performance metrics which allowed the customer to realise the need for a load balanced setup as during peak times CPU and load times were peaking.

Using a load balancer, Beanstalk, and mySQL clustering we were able to provide a resilient and higher performance solution that automatically scales.
